Stanley "Stan" Winston (born April 7, 1946 – died June 15, 2008) was the director of the original Pumpkinhead released in 1988, which was his directorial debute. Winston and his design team were also responsible for the design of the original Pumpkinhead monster. Stan Winston is also notable for the design and special effects of the alien queen in Aliens, the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, and the endoskeleton in The Terminator.
